BRING A FRIEND TO ROTARY

We had a quiet beginning to our meeting because we were in the dinning room with the restaurant guests.

There were 15 people present as follows: Joe, Julie, Barbara, Garry, Deborah Newt, Bill, Peter, Rich, Roy, Tom,

Bob D., Betsy, President Bob, President elect. Steve, Secretary Joanne.  Two guests Nancy & Bob Knotoff.

Next week we will have a Club board meeting. One of the things to be discussed is a computer for Rich.

Next week we will have present the Students of the Month of January from Eastport South Manor H. S.  and Center Moriches H. S.

We discussed a way to get the dinner served more on time so the meeting doesn't run overtime and we decided to set up a table at the entrance to our meeting with a sign up sheet listing what the 3 choices are for dinner.  Someone will be assigned to do this for a month and if you are going to be absent you call someone to take your place.  Tom and Peter will do the honors for February. We use to do this years ago and also we did this at Ladikins not so long ago.

The February 9 meeting is going to be at Ladikins for Squaw appreciation night and that will be considered our meeting night that week.  Price $23.00 per person for club members and a cash bar.  It will be a buffet dinner.

The ball honoring our Past District Governors on February 24th Saturday night at the camp will take the place of our Thursday meeting that week.

We need a chairperson for the Spaghetti dinner on April 19th.  I would appreciate if you would start bring bottles of new wine and liquors to the meetings so I can start preparing the baskets.  Barbara was kind enough to bring me a couple of baskets this week.  Thank you Barbara.  We also want to do a toy basket so if you have any new toys you don't need please give them to Barbara.  I also would like to do a basket of new paper back books so start bring them now so I can get my work done ahead of time.  Rich will do a 7-11 basket, thank you Rich that should be a big hit.

The Eastport South Manor Senior citizen dinner is March 21st. --we could help out at the dinner. We do not no the time of the dinner as yet.

The Patchogue Club presented the camp with money made from Fucco Golf tournament.  Thank you very much to them!

We need a representative from the club to work with Janice as she is the teacher advisor for the Center Moriches Interact Club.  Bob Dovale is interested in doing this and Barbara has also volunteered.

Joanne & President Bob won and the 2 of Diamonds was selected for the 50/50. The game continues.

We had the Sergeants report and The Foundation Report.  Newt was the Foundation winner.

Garry is contributing the tickets for the bowling.  Thank you Garry.

Bob Dovale needs a home for an inbound student either in Center Moriches or Eastport South Manor.  Steven said that Terry would take the child as Cory will be going to Brazil.  He would like to have 4 families all together as it makes a short time for each home.

Garry made the changes to the Club budget that was requested last week.  It is still a work in progress and we thank Garry and Deborah and Ed Wesche (Treasurer) for all there efforts -- they really are working hard and we should appreciate their hard work.  Thank you.

Well, it was another good meeting.

Well that's all there is.........Joanne
