I love Rotary
pins were given to Susan, Bob & Roy.
-
We need new
members. It is important to the success of our club. Great place
to have a membership night would be at the camp, with a guest
speaker who can talk about the camp. The goal is for everyone to
bring one person to the event.
New Business:
-
We received an
anonymous letter from someone who thanked us very much for our
help in adopting them over the holidays.
-
Rotary District
7230 is supporting the Rotary Mother-Baby Aids project and would
like all of the district/clubs to do the same. Information about
the person leading this project can be found at
http://www.familyaids.org/AboutIFAP.htm
-
A fellow
Rotarian from the Amityville club has passed away. His name is
Charlie deQuillfeldt and he was a part of Rotary for over 40
years.
-
Jim spoke about
choosing a day to clean up a few streets in Center Moriches or
take off the graffiti as a way to let the community know about
Rotary and recognition for our club. We would get sponsors as a
way to raise money for our club.
-
We are
considering doing Bowl-a-rama again. Details to come.
-
We are looking
into having miniature golf in June. Details to come.
-
There is a camp
board meeting on February 9th at the camp. All
Rotarians from our club are welcome to attend. Tom reported that
camper registration is going very well and that we should have a
great, full summer this year.
-
We
did the sergeants report, Foundation,
