MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting was started at 6:35 by our President Steve with the pledge, song and a prayer by Muriel. Present at the meeting was the following: Peter, Jim, Bob Dovale, Roy, Bill, Tom, Betsy, Dr. Sighn, Denise, Newt, Werner, Barbara, Julie, Deborah, Janice, Bob Walker , Keith, Cheryl, President Elect, Muriel, Treasurer Rich, Secretary Joanne, President Steve. There were 3 guest present, Maryann Santonocito, Guest Speaker Aaron Stein P. D. G. and our exchange student Maria. The attendance was excellent. Garry keeps making up. Just give us the small room and we will over fill it.

Next week after the regular meeting there will be a Club board Meeting, Oct. 18th.

Next week Oct 18th will be Ed Wesche Program don't miss it.

Hampton Bays would like to do a fund raiser with us, it was suggested the bowl-a-rama, which will take place Saturday, March 15th, 2008. Everyone agreed. Then we can fill the bowling Alley to capacity.

Janice Confirmed she secured the date for the Spaghetti Dinner -- April 17th, 2008. At of Course Center Moriches school.

Aaron Stein was our guest speaker. He does an excellent job. He was Past District Governor from 2001-2002. He comes from the Babylon Club and is our District Trainer. He has a very responsible job in Rotary. He was involved in running the District Assembly, Pets and Sets the District Conference, the Zone institute and it just goes on, it was very interesting. He gave us a wealth of information.

We celebrated Tom's 55 Birthday with a special cake. Delivered by his wife Patti and Roy's wife Deborah. Rich played a big part in this celebration.

Barbara ask the Club members to bring in any new toys to contribute to her wagon of Toys raffle at the Holidays.

Cheryl brought the prize for the Foundation Raffle.

The Student of the month will take place on the 25th of October.

The Spooky Walk starts this Friday and Saturday night. We passed around a sign up sheet for the four nights. The results so far is as follows:
