MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting began at 6:30 PM by President Steve with Salute to the flag, song and a Prayer by President Elect Muriel. Present at the meeting was the following members: Janice, Werner, Barbara, Susan, Deborah, Dr. Sigh, Bob Walker, Keith, Cheryl, Treasurer Rich, Secretary Joanne, President Elect Muriel & President Steve.

Next week Oct. 11th we will have a guest speaker Arron Stein, PDG will talk on "What it means to be District Trainer." Should be very informative and will add to your Rotary Knowledge.

November 7th will be the date for Dr. Sighns program on Yoga and that will be the week to dress down. The date I had been given originally was incorrect. So mark your calendar. It should be very beneficial to all.

Ed Wesche program will be Oct. 18th and is not to be missed.

Nice job Muriel for setting up all the programs.

Oct. 25th Vinnie will be given Merchant of the Month Award. This is very much overdo.

Cheryl attended the Foundation Club Chair meeting at Camp Paquatuck on Sept. 29th . Said it was very informative. She will be getting the booklets so that those in our club who can can donate the $100. per year. " Every Rotarian, every year."

Thank you Muriel for showing the film on UN Day. I know some of our members intend to participate. It is Nov. 3rd. Saturday. See Steve for applications or look in this months District News letter. The District Governors column was very informative. Application needs to be in by Oct. 20th if you wish to attend.

Don't forget Rotary Leadership Institute takes place at the Islandia Marriott on Oct. 20th from 7:30 AM to 3-30 PM and Cost $90.00. I know several people intend to attend. Steve has applications and it is also in the district Newsletter.

Our Club Board meeting is Oct 18th after the regular meeting.

Student of the month and Merchant of the month will both take place on Oct. 25th.

East Hampton Rotary will have on Friday, October 26th its annual Charter Night dinner and dance at Coco's Restaurant at Maidstone Arms. 207 Main St. East Hampton. Tickets are $55.00 Cocktail Hour 6-7 Cash bar and Hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dancing from 7-11 PM to live music. 3 course dinner with a bottle of white and bottle of red wine for each table.
