In Attendance:  Barbara Caldwell, Muriel Corcoran, Joanne Walker, Jim Murphy, Tom Chieffo, Rich Santonocito, Ed Wesche, Andy Partarn, and Sue Bartels.This is Andy’s second Rotary meeting.

Guests:  Fred Lleyboldt from the Sayville Rotary and our guest speaker Marsha Belford from Brookhaven National Lab.

The meeting was lightly attended as many of the area schools had open house tonight.

Since many members were out Bob would like all members to email him their availability for the Spooky Walk 10/16, 10/17, 10/23 and 10/24.

A former member Henry Leuterhart passed away this week. Bob did go to the funeral on behalf of the Moriches Rotary

The Holiday party is still on for the 5^th of December at the Camp. We have booked a magician for the kid’s entertainment. Any ideas see Peter as he is in charge of the party.

The next stuff a bus will be on November 7 at the King Kullen in Center Moriches

Fred Leyboldt spoke on behalf of GOL.  The Gift of Life dinner will take place at the Bellport Country Club on 11/18/2009.They will be honoring Dr.William Novick who has been instrumental in getting the equipment and staff to both Honduras and Haiti for the life saving procedures .The committee would like RYLA students to be sent by the clubs as they also will be recognized for their accomplishment of raising the funds for the first 3 kids to have surgery. (Students will be charged $45 and Rotarians $75)

Our guest speaker was Marsha Belford and she had a PowerPoint presentation of the history of BNL. She had a lot of information and passed out folders about the Lab’s progress. They have 7 Noble Prize winners at the Lab and they work for the betterment of mankind.

Upcoming Events/Meetings for 2009:

• Spooky Walk. (4 nights) October 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th.

• Stuff a bus, Saturday, November 7^th.

• Squaws card parties are November 6th, December 4th  at the camp.  6:30pm to 10pm
