Topics of Discussion:

  • Stuff a bus on November 7th was cancelled. We were double booked with the Girl Scouts so we left to let them have their event. December 12th is our next stuff a bus event.

  • During our board meeting, Tom Kerr suggested that we have all district stuff a bus, we get everyone together, we get great publicity, and we would be honored for beginning the program.

  • The holiday party is on December 5th. There will be a magician, hay rides, tree lighting ceremony, Santa Claus. Cost is $20 a person. Kids 12 and under are free. Everyone brings their own gift for their children, wrapped, with a value of no more than $15. Need a headcount and payment by 11/19. Gifts are due on 12/3. If you say you are coming and you don’t show up, you still have to pay as we are ordering food for you. Please bring in your sold raffle tickets so Barbara can start shopping for our adopted family.

  • Bob and Peter presented a check to Camp Pa Qua Tuck, proceeds from Octoberfest.

  • At our next assembly meeting, which is November 19th, Bob wants to brainstorm a few items for the club, how to raise more money for the camp. Bring ideas and suggestions.

  • Steve introduced Tom Kerry, our District Governor. The theme this year is the Future of Rotary is in YOUR hands. Tom requested that we grow by one member this year. The goal is quality not quantity.  April 29th to May 2nd is the district conference in New Jersey. Across the bay is Atlantic City. Spa and golf facilities are available. He said we should be proud of the work we do and the fact that we are Rotarians. His speech was amazing.

  • Muriel has ordered the turkeys for the food baskets. She will be going to King Kullen to order the rest of the food for the food baskets.

  • It’s time to write a check for the Foundation dollars we’ve collected for the year to rotary international.

  • Susan would like us to fill out xmas cards for the troops overseas. Susan will let us know which troop they will go to next week. Susan would like all xmas cards in by the meeting before Thanksgiving. PLEASE BRING 10 CARDS WITH YOU NEXT WEEK.

  • Tom & Steve are the nominating committee for our board next year. If you are interested in a board position, please let them know. Voting for the board is the 2nd week of December.
