Guests:  Maureen from Habitat for Humanity, Gary Kron, Steve Fucco, Patty. Denise’s husband Gary, and Laura Sguazzin Donathan (This is her 2nd meeting.)

 

New Business:

 

  • Pauline is back. Rob picked her up from the airport. Her email address, if you want to say hello is Pauline_warroquiers@hotmail.com 
  • Bob (and the club) thanked Steve Fucco for all of the hard work he does for the camp.
  • Peter spoke about Octoberfest which would be held at the camp 9/26 & 9/27 next year.
  • Stuff a bus went well. The bus was filled. The goods received went to 2 churches in the area.
  • If you have not signed up for the children’s holiday party, please email Barbara. We need age, name and gender. Barbara’s email address is brcaldwell@aol.com
  • It was nice to see Peggy at the meeting tonight.
  • We did the sergeants report, Foundation, and the 50/50. Sergeants-$. 50/50-$30. (Steve won)  Foundation-$95.

 

Old Business: 

 

  • Past club presidents (Steve, Julie & Kevin) will be the election committee for the incoming offices for next year. Report please to the club on November 13th.
  • Muriel, Julie & Deborah will be the nominating committee for the camp board.
  • Barbara gave out tickets for the holiday raffle. They are $5 a piece. She gave out 20 tickets to each member that was in attendance. Money goes to adopt a family for the holidays. She also needs toys for the wagon raffle.
  • Barbara also reminded everyone that the holiday parties are at the camp.
  • Muriel will be asking the Mastic Club to join us at our meeting.

·         If you have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.

 

Speaker & Topic:

·         Maureen from Habitat for Humanity spoke.

·         She was part of a team that built 4 houses in Alaska.

·         They built all day long for 2 weeks.

·         She loved the difference she made while there.

·         Stuff a Bus-December 6th.

·         Holiday party for the Kids-Sunday, December 14th 1pm to 4pm.

·         Holiday party for our members-Thursday, December 18th.

·         JC’s Restaurant, Thursday, November 13th.

·         Please note that we only have 3 meetings in November (no meeting on the 27th for Thanksgiving), so please try to attend all three.
