New Business:
-
Janice got a
call from Newsday. They heard about how the Interact students go
to stuff a bus every month and they wanted to come down and
write a story about them.
-
Steve requested
that we have a different flag for our meetings. Laura will be
bringing in one.
-
Muriel got the
check for the simplified grant for the dictionary project.
-
Muriel read a
letter from another club on how they recruit new members. This
is a letter that we may want to follow.
-
We spoke about
the Easter egg roll at the camp on Palm Sunday, April 5th.
We will be inviting the community and the other clubs to
participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult. We will
offset the cost by charging to take a picture with the Easter
bunny and selling food like popcorn. This is a family event.
Children up to 5th grade.
-
Tom would like
to secure guest speakers for upcoming meetings. He and others in
the club miss having speakers as part of our meetings.
-
We did the
sergeants report, Foundation, and the 50/50. Sergeants-$
50/50-$6 (Muriel won) Foundation $9
