The Camp was decorated just beautiful for the First Winter Ball which honored the Past & Present District Governors.  They had valet parking, nice Music and some hors d'oeuvres.  There were many, many familiar faces which brought back many wonderful memories from the past.  Especially for those who have been in or involved in Rotary for many years.  My association goes back to the late 70's.  They had two exchange students hanging up coats and giving out the tickets.  The student I spoke to was from India.  I loved hearing his accent because it brought back my memories of Shaker Delvis my exchange student from Puna, India.  I am still in touch with his family even though it is about 25 years ago.

I took attendance at the ball and those present are as follows: Roy & his wife Debbie, Newt, President Bob & his wife Mary my daughter in law, Ed Wesche, Steve Kronman, Bob Dovale & wife Anne, Lou & wife Judy, Peter & wife Laura, Tom & wife Patty & Betsy Heckman.  Tom & Patty's daughter Christine was the one bartender and her boy friend was the other bartender. They did a great job.

We Missed our Past District Governor Garret Nagel.  I called today and checked on him as he also missed a meeting the week before and I wanted to make sure he was OK.  He is and will be at our next meeting Thursday night. Check the journal for our club add honoring Garry. We also had another District Governor. Ray Batt, he and his wife Pat live in Florida for many years now.

The Squaws asked me to reminded everyone in our club about their next event a Card Party on March 30th at the VFW at 6:00 PM to learn the game (it is very easy) and the game begins at 7:00 PM.  $15.00 dollars allows you to play and there is coffee and desert and some snacks on the tables and drinks can be purchased at the bar.  Call a Squaw for tickets or ask me and I will get in touch with them. Remember our Club events coming up: Bowl-a-rama March 24th arrive at 6 PM there will be Hero sandwiches and salads and drinks can be purchased at the bar.  We have 40 lanes to fill so let President Bob know who is coming.  Please bring to the meetings ASAP wine and liquor, new Paper back books and toys. Joanne is putting baskets together and Barbara is putting toy baskets together.

Spaghetti Diner at the Center Moriches High School. Us and the Interact Club takes place April 19th Joe Maag's 70th birthday.

Dale ordered the Dictionary's for William Floyd's Tangier Building, where Bob & Mary both teach.  Thank you Dale.
