President Steve began the meeting with the pledge, song and prayer.  The following members were present: Werner, Jim, Roy, Denise, Bob Walker, Susan, President Elect Muriel, Janice, Barbara, Newt, Deborah, Cheryl, Julie and President Steve and Secretary Joanne.  Roy was also present last week and was accidentally left out of the minuets.  Sorry Roy.  We had one guest for the evening the Merchant of the Month Dr. Steve Curtis. 

 

Muriel will be running the meeting next week as President Steve will be away on business in Austin Texas.

 

President Steve  introduced our guest for the evening our Merchant of the Month, Dr. Steven Curtis.   He has always been very generous in donating the cost of tickets for our different events and also always purchased tickets for his staff to attend our many events.  Please also keep Dr. Curtis's wife in our prayers as she is undergoing treatment at the present time.  We presented him with a club banner and will be giving  him a plaque in the next week. Dr. Curtis is a local Dentist.  He was also a member of our club in the past.  It would be wonderful to get him return in the future.

 

Please bring your sold Spaghetti Dinner ticket money to the meeting next week.  Also those who have not brought a bottle or two of wine or liquor please do so next week or a toy.   I had another idea if those who could chip together $5.00 each I could buy some gift cards for another basket idea.  Think about it.

 

Janice and the Center Moriches Interact Club is collecting blankets for Soldiers.  Anyone who can supply her  with any contact Janice at the next meeting. 

Cheryl brought us all copies of the New completed by-laws for the Club and passed them out at this meeting.   Thank you Cheryl for your hard work and  also all the rest of the committee.  It is appreciated.

 

Our next event is the Spaghetti Dinner on April 15th, Tuesday night.  Remember cooks needed at 2:30 PM.  All other Rotarians 3:30 PM. 

 

Bowl-a-rama  May 31, Saturday night.  We will be co-chairing this event with Hampton Bays Rotary Club.

 

Our Duck Barbecue will take place Sept. 7, 2008.  plus the Big Duck Race  ($100.00 each) and the little

Duck Race ($10.00 each)
