Topics of Discussion: 

 

We did not have enough members for a full meeting, so we mostly had a nite of fellowship.

 

Our student of the month is Gabriel a student at Center Moriches High School. We asked her to come back again once when there is a bigger membership present.

 

We need to sell more tickets for the March 13th auction. Only 6 members have taken tickets to sell to date. Muriel still needs items for the auction.

 

On Feb 28th, there will be a fundraiser from 2pm to 6pm at the Inn Between (Buckley’s) and Finn McCool’s for Brian “Maz” Mazzio who needs a kidney transplant.

 

Denise is doing a marathon for Leukemia. She would appreciate donations for the cause and her wonderful efforts.

 

District stuff is on Feb 27th. Please email Muriel if you want to help out that day.

 

Old Business:

 

Tom sent out the programs list for the second half of 2010. If your name is on here, you either give a program yourself or get a speaker. Steve spoke about the type of presentations you can give. It can be about something you want to share or someone else from Rotary who can give us information about Rotary. Program is 15 minutes long. If you really need a speaker, see Tom.

 

Squaw party is Feb 26th at Ladakins. $24 a head. There will NOT be a meeting on the 25th. The meeting on the 26th will be our weekly meeting. This is our thank you meeting for the squaws.

 

Sergeants-$0. Foundation-$0. 50/50-$0

 

Ongoing Business: 

 

·        Bob would like us to contribute $100 for the year for Rotary Foundation. It is not mandatory and it would be a nice showing from the club.

·        Tom has been writing an article that will be going into the south shore press every couple of weeks. If you have news that you want in, please send it to Tom.

·        If you have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.

  • Bill Joel Concert & Auction, Saturday, March 13th at Rock Hill.

  • Fun day at the camp, Saturday, March 27th.

  • Easter Egg Hunt, Palm Sunday, March 28th at the camp.

  • Spaghetti Dinner, Thursday, April 15th.

  • Stuff a bus, Saturday, May 8th.

  • Stuff a bus, Saturday, June 5th.
