Tom spoke about
the programs. Each member will be responsible for one program a
year. Programs begin on 4/23. If you can’t find a speaker, you
can be the speaker. If you can’t make a meeting that you have
been assigned that meeting as your meeting to get a speaker, you
have to let the president of the club know at least one week in
advance.
-
Saturday is
stuff-a-bus. Muriel wil talk to Janice to see if Newsday is
coming down to interview the Interact kids. Event is 10 to 3pm.
We also need people to help unload the bus at the end. The
Eastport Bible Church sent us a thank you letter for our help in
filling their food pantry.
-
We are still
working on the letters to invite people to our membership
events. Muriel inquired about the 10 envelopes to each person
and asked that we address them with 10 people we can send an
invite to. Even, if you have to go to the phone book to get
names and addresses. Date is Sunday, May 3rd from 1pm
to 4pm at the camp. We also will be inviting past members to
attend. Please let Muriel know who you would like added to the
list.
New Business:
-
Bob spoke about
the spaghetti dinner being held at the Center Moriches High
School on Thursday, April 16th. He handed out 20 tickets to each
member. Please sell your tickets. (Kevin donated the tickets, so
thank you to Kevin.) Bob has flyers for your windows, so please
see him if your need a few. So far, he has 6 table sponsors. Bob
has paid for some ads. If you have raffle items, see Barbara and
Joanne. Joanne needs liquor for the baskets.
-
We have a
student from East Moriches that wants to be an outbound exchange
student. We cannot sponsor this student unless we have a home
for an inbound student. We need to have an answer and a home for
the student within the next 2 weeks.
-
Muriel will be
ordering signs for the camp that showcase the rotary and our web
site.
-
