The Meeting was brought to order at 6:38 PM with the pledge, song and prayer by President Steve . Present at the meeting was the following members. Ralph, Jim Murphy, Newt, Sue, Dr. Sighn, Bill LeMair, Bob Dovale, Peter, Bob Walker, Treasurer Rich, Secretary Joanne, & President Steve. We also had the following guests Paul Haines Westhampton Rotary & little Tina, Susan Tew (Jim Murphy)  & Don Oberlin from Antwerp, Ohio (Building Contractor working on a project in Center Moriches).

 

Rich went to the Hampton Bays Spaghetti dinner to use as a makeup Meeting and also went with Bill Dalton to attend a Kwainas meeting to promote our Camp.  (So you see there are a lot of different ways to makeup for a missed meeting.  Thanks Rich.

 

The Rotary Club of Southold is celebrating their 60th Anniversary and they will be honoring one of the club's founding members David I. DeFriest.  Where -  The Soundview Restaurant on the North Rd. in Greeport.  Tickets are $75.00 each .  Please reply to the Rotary Club of Southold, P.O. Box 420, Southold, NY 11971 or by phone to (631) 765-6708 or email Jo Pettit, jopcomm@optonline.net .  May 6th, cocktails at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner.  There will be a cash bar and choice of entree Dinner, Entertainment and Live Music for Listening and dancing.  All proceeds will benefit Polio Plus.

 

Don't forget tomorrow night is our Spaghetti Dinner at Center Moriches High School on the by -pass Center Moriches.  Bring your checks for your tickets to Bob Dovale and also any unsold tickets . Please as many members as possible set up starts at 2:30 PM and Doors open at 4 PM for the Early Bird. The dinner goes till 8 PM.  Vinnie donated the salad & dressing.  Ralph the Meatballs, Anton's  the Sauce.  Lets make this a big success by all of us being there working together.

 

We had the 50/50, foundation raffle, and Sergeants report.

 

April 24th we will have a Guest speaker from the Mastic -Shirley Club.

 

District Assembly will take place May 17th. at Camp Paquatuck.  All 32 Clubs will be represented. 

 

June 25th will be the installation of the new District Governor at our camp.  Also Riverhead,  Westhampton & our Club will install their offices that night.

 

There will be no meeting Thursday night as our Spaghetti Dinner tomorrow night Tuesday, April 15th will take its place.
