Our meeting took a different form this week because it was a working meeting at our annual Spaghetti Dinner.  Present at the meeting was the following members - (Hopefully I didn't miss any of the members. ) Julie, Muriel, Deborah, Ed, Steve, Kevin, Peter, Werner, Newt, Barbara, Bill, Cheryl, Susan, Peggy, Helmut, Bob Dovale, Rich, Tom, Jim, Janice, and Joanne. 

 

Thanks to all the members who worked on this event, it was very successful.  Food was very good, meatballs were very delicious.  All members who worked in the kitchen or served the food did a great job. We will get a report from the committee at next weeks meeting as to how much we made.  The placemats advertised a lot of businesses including our own.  The Raffle table had a lot of really nice gifts and did very well the results will be totaled up at next meeting. Having it in the school again this year was very enjoyable and the kitchen and serving area are so professional it made it easier on our workers.  The Interact Kids from both schools were there including their teacher leaders, Janice and Katherine.  Thanks to all.

 

Next Thursday we will be back at Ladakins on Thursday night.  We will have a guest Speaker from the Shirley Mastic Club talking on Polio Plus.  She has traveled around the world giving out this important medicine. Please lets have a full house for this important speaker.

 

May 31st will be our next event our Bowl-a-rama at Shirley Bowl with Hampton Bays Rotary Club.  I have enough booze to make a nice basket up, but I would like to make another basket up of Gift Cards and Gift Certificates so if each member would like to contribute $5.00 to me, I will make up another gift card basket as it did very well at the last event and I supplied 3 of the gift cards. Or if you know of any restaurants that will give you a gift certificate please pass the certificate on to me. Thanks for your help.

 

Also remember District Assembly will take place May 17th. at Camp Paquatuck.  All 32 Clubs will be represented.

 

June 25th will be the Installation of the new District Governor at our Camp. Riverhead, Westhampton & our Club will be installing their Officers that night.
