The meeting was begun at 6:30PM by President Bob, with the Pledge, song & prayer.  We had 19 members present @ the beginning of the meeting & a new Member Jim Murphy was sworn in during the meeting so there were 20 members present at the meetings end.  As follows Lou, Werner, Bob D., Betsy, Peter, Bill, Rich, Roy, Dr. Sighn, Newt, Joe, Cheryl, Steve, President Bob Jr., Secretary, Joanne. New Member Jim Murphy, & at the Squaws function Barbara, Muriel, Garry.  At the Convention Janet.

 

President Bob installed Jim Murphy into the Club and put his Rotary Pin on and he was presented with the Rotary booklet.  All the members congratulated him individually.  Welcome Jim! .

 

Bob Dovale Reported on the success of the Spaghetti Dinner and thanked Betsy, Newt & Peter for their extensive help. Michael Angelos provided the Pasta.

 

Rich provided the soft drinks, cups, & coffee from his & Maryann's 7-11's. Werner provided the delicious Bread.  The Early bird was successful because of the ads in the Water Ways & Greenwood Village news letters.

May 3rd. will be Newts Program.

 

May 10th will be Habitat for Humanities Program.

 

June 14th will be Steve Kronmans installation as President.

 

May 5th from 7-11 at the Camp will be Brooks Sweet Sixteen party.  Don't forget to let  Ed know if you are going or not.878-0007.

 

The 50/50 the 10 of Diamond was chosen. We had the Sergeants report and the Foundation prize was brought in by Cheryl -it was a gift card to Best Buy.  The winner brings the gift for next weeks raffle.

 

The Duck Barbecue & the Duck race will need a new sign. The cost of sign will be $280.00.  They are looking into getting a Hot Air Balloon.  Bob Dovale & Co. looking into this.  It would draw a lot of people.

 

CAMP WORK DAY - The Moriches Club as well as other clubs on May 19th and 20th. The day will begin at 10:00 AM on both days. Please adjust your schedules for that weekend and participate in getting OUR camp ready for the upcoming season.  If possible the Moriches club can make its showing on the 20th of May.  Please make every effort to attend and set a good example for the other Rotary Clubs that will be attending.  Please let us know your thoughts at the next meeting.  Thanks, Tom C.
