BRING A FRIEND TO ROTARY
The Meeting was brought to order by President
Elect Muriel Corcoran with the pledge, song and
prayer. The following members were present. Bob
Dovale, Peter, Dr. Sighn, Werner, Newt, Barbara,
Bill, Muriel, Tom, Deborah, Secretary Joanne,
Treasurer Rich and the following guests Paul
Haines and a sweet little girl Tina and Nancy &
Bob Knottoff all three from Westhampton Rotary
Club.
Some of our members attended the Squaws Card
party. They all had a very good time and
Janice, Cheryl, Barbara and Julie took last
place winning the toilet bowl plungers.
The Place mat adds have been sold out for the
Spaghetti Dinner. Thanks to Peggy's hard
work. We do however still need some table
sponsors.
Rich is getting the soda and cups. Muriel is
taking care of the desert. Werner is taking
care of the bread. Bob Dovale put an add in the
Penny Saver and the Waterways Life Style News
letter.
Please be there at two -thirty to se up and the
Kitchen crew. The place Center Moriches High
School. The Interact from the two schools will
be there to help and also have a cake sale the
profits to be used to send a deserving Child to
Camp Paquatuck for a session.
Bill told us that on April 13th there will be a
Run -Walk for Autism at the East Islip Marina.
It starts at 9:30 AM. Bill will be running in
it and some of our members gave him a donation
for his run. Good Luck Bill hope you make a lot
of money for a very important cause.
Muriel, Julie and Barbara will be attending the
District Conference and will be leaving Thursday
to attend it. Rich supplied them with a basket
of goodies for the silent auction at the
conference. Thank you Rich.
April 24th our guest speaker will be from the
Mastic-Shirley Club and she will talk about
Polio Plus and her many trips working on this in
India etc.
May 1st. is the District Assembly at Camp
Paquatuck some members from all 32 Clubs will
be present.
Since it is our Camp we should have a good
representation of our members present.
June 25th will be the installation of the
District Governor and it will take place at the
camp. Also that night Riverhead, Westhampton
and our Club will also have their installation
of officers.
We had the 50/50, foundation raffle, and Sergeants report.
