MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting began at about 6:45 PM after the waitress took our dinner order. The meting was begun by Joanne Walker, Secretary and was ended by Steve Kronman, President Elect. It was begun with the pledge, Song and a prayer by Joanne. Present at this meeting was 13 members as follows: Barbara, Deborah, Peter, Rich, Roy, Newt, Garry, Muriel, Dr. Sighn, Susan, Cheryl, Secretary Joanne, President Elect Steve. We also had a guest from the Riverhead Rotary Club Louis Salvatico & Director on Moriches Rotary Health Camp Board as a representative for district 7260.

The Scholarship committee met at 3:30 at Tavern on Main to interview the Center Moriches High School students. Attending this meeting was Newt and Bob Walker Jr. Janice set up the order and times of the students arrivals. Janice was not able to come to our meeting as she had an Art Show at the High School that evening. Bob Jr. had to leave to attend a retirement dinner for fellow teachers.

Muriel, Barbara and Marcella Weiss (Moriches Paquatuck Squaws) reviewed and made changes to the By-laws for the Moriches Rotary Health Camp. Muriel read them all and we discussed each section and Article etc. Some further alterations were made & a final copy will be E mailed to all members & will be brought up for approval at next weeks meeting. Very nice job girls, I know it was a lot of work and it is very much appreciated. Please it is important that all attend next weeks meeting.

Peter Traina told us that Melina will be extending her stay for about another month and will be staying with Bob Dovale and family. If you want to entertain her now is your last chance.

The 50-50 was won by Sue who chose the Jack of Hearts. So the game goes on...............

Rich was the Sergeant of Arms and played a trivia game which really was fun. Nice job Rich.

Tom Kerr from the Westhampton Club arrived just at the right time with the prize for the Foundation raffle. It was won by Cheryl and she received a nice prize.

After our regular meeting next week their will be a Rotary Club Board meeting.
