Wendy spoke about the
auction that is taking place at the camp on June 6th. $50 a
person that includes fabulous food and a cash bar.
-
Wendy said that
everybody has something in their homes that they don’t use; the
re-gift. Wendy can use these for baskets. Examples are gift
certificates, picture frames, gifts, movie tickets, restaurant
certificates, sport memberilia, wine/cheese/crackers in your home
etc., would be helpful. Wendy is looking for good and services. New
items only; nothing used.

WE NEED DONATIONS. Please bring your donations for the auction next
week. Or, you can drop it at the camp.

Deborah gave out dues
invoices. She will have them for those who did not get their invoice
at next week’s meeting.

Muriel spoke about
the Distract Conference. She said all that went have a great time.
New Business:
-
Muriel will not be at
the meeting next week. She will be presenting awards to students of
ESM that we appreciate very much in this club. Because it’s a
surprise, and the quill is posted online, names will be released via
email/the web at a later date.

The Patchogue Rotary
is having their 13th annual steak and cigar dinner on June
3rd at
6pm at the Holbrook County Club. Cost is $150 per ticket.

The Islandia-Central
Islip club is having their first charter anniversary celebration on
May 28th from 6pm to 8pm. Potluck dinner at Arbors at
Islandia East. This is a Free event. Cost is bringing a dish of your
choosing. For more information, you can call 631-630-9697.

Bob’s installation dinner, Thursday, June 25th at the
camp. $25 a person; headcount 2 weeks prior, check 1 week prior. Spouses
and families are invited. PLEASE LET PETER KNOW IF YOU WILL BE
COMING AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU ARE BRINGING.

Beginning in the
July, the monthly district newsletter will be delivered in bulk to the
clubs. You will be able to pick up an issue when you attend a meeting.
An email copy will also be sent to you.

Tom has been writing
an article that will be going into the south shore press every couple
of weeks. If you have news that you want in, please send it to Tom.

If you
have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let
Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.
