Topics of Discussion:

 

·         Peter, Rich & Steve will be a part of the budget committee for next year.

·         Bob’s installation dinner, Thursday, June 25th at the camp. $25 a person; headcount 2 weeks prior, check 1 week prior. Spouses and families are invited.  PLEASE LET PETER KNOW IF YOU WILL BE COMING AND HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU ARE BRINGING. Email him at emorealtor@optonline.net

  • We still need donations for the Auction next week. Wendy said that everybody has something in their homes that they don’t use; the re-gift. Wendy can use these for baskets. Examples are gift certificates, picture frames, gifts, movie tickets, restaurant certificates, sport memberilia, wine/cheese/crackers in your home etc., would be helpful. Wendy is looking for good and services. New items only; nothing used.
  • Bob said he would like Newt to print on the duck tickets, $25 prepaid, $30 at the door.

 

New Business:

 

  • Muriel was not at the meeting this week. She was presenting awards to students at CMHS.
  • Sergeants-$0 50/50-$0. Foundation $0.

 

Old Business:

  • The Islandia-Central Islip club is having their first charter anniversary celebration on May 28th from 6pm to 8pm. Potluck dinner at Arbors at Islandia East. This is a Free event. Cost is bringing a dish of your choosing. For more information, you can call 631-630-9697.
  • Deborah gave out dues invoices. She will have them for those who did not get their invoice at next week’s meeting.
  • Beginning in the July, the monthly district newsletter will be delivered in bulk to the clubs. You will be able to pick up an issue when you attend a meeting. An email copy will also be sent to you.
  • Tom has been writing an article that will be going into the south shore press every couple of weeks. If you have news that you want in, please send it to Tom.

·         If you have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.

Upcoming Events for 2009:

 

  • Squaws card parties are June 5th, November 6th, December 4th   at the camp.  6:30pm to 10pm Auction at the camp, Saturday, June 6th.

·         District Governor’s installation is at the Irish Pub in East Islip on June 17th.

  • Annual Duck Barbeque and Big Duck Race. Sept. 13th.
  • Fucco Memorial Golf Festival, September 17th at the Bellport County Club.
  • Octoberfest September 25th, 26th and 27th at the camp.
  • Spooky Walk. (4 nights) October 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th.
