The Student of the month from Center Moriches, Gianna Trombino was Congratulated .  Her plaque will be here shortly and will be given to Janis to present to her in school.  She has a great sense of humor, very poised, dressed very properly.  Will be studding Physical Ed. in College.  Plays Volley Ball in high school She has been an Interact member for four years and is the Treasurer of the Club this year. She belongs to the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.  Very impressive.

Our own Newt Holman was our guest speaker this week.  Newt we had no idea.  Extremely interesting program that had everyone paying attention.  Grew up right here in Riverhead. He spent much time on the Peconic River catching Killies.  Taught us all about Eeling.  Working very long hours which was very hard work.   He showed us his Eel pots and explained its use.  It was really very nice to have such an interesting program when we had a guest from another club.  Thank you Newt.

Susan's swim program ended last weekend for the season.  Thank you for a wonderful job Susan.

President Bob received a wonderful letter from Taylor Mercado from 94 Maple Ave. Shirley. She described in detail her weekend at Camp De Wolfe and the Ryla program.  She learned something very important that Ryla is Communication.  She proved that we can still put faith in the youth of today.

See you Thursday at Tavern on Main.
