MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The Meeting began at 6:40 PM by President Steve with the pledge, song & prayer by President Elect Muriel. The following members were present Dr. Sighn, Barbara, new Grandma Janice, Julie, Deborah,( New Mom), Peter, Jim, Bob Dovale, Susan, Tom, Werner, Cheryl, Treasurer Rich, Secretary Joanne, & President Steve. The following guests were also present Susan Tew (Jim), Rob Rubio, Pramod Bhanti, Dr. Christopher Beuhler, (looking to join our club).

On June 25th, President Steve expects 100% Attendance unless he has been contact by a member in advance of the date. It will be held up at Camp Paquatuck and will be the Installation of the New District Governor. Also our Club will Install its new board along with Riverhead, & Westhampton . The tickets are $75.00 per ticket and a portion of the money will go to Camp Paquatuck.

The Green Pages is a fund raiser for the Commack/Kings Park Rotary Club. Governor Dave is encouraging everyone to list themselves in the green Pages. This Directory is a vocational project and Fund Raiser of his own club. It Costs $15.00. The directory closes on June 1st. so get your subscription form in soon. There's a link to the application form on the homepage of the District's web site. www.rotary7260.org(on the left side, about half-way down, under "site Links".

Dr. Sighn had to leave early to attend another meeting but before he left he wanted to give some happy dollars and $31.00 of these was for the 31 years he has spent in our Community and he was a Rotarian for part of this time and then rejoined our club again about 1 1/2 years ago.

We received some checks in the mail for the Spaghetti Dinner which took place April 15th. Bob Dovale had sent a mailing of 10 tickets to all the Clubs in the District. Some responded by attending others sent a donation. Richard Brewster from Cutchogue, Smithtown Rotary, Rotary Club of Islandia-Central Islip, Rotary Club of Greater Ronkonkoma, Rotary Club of Greenport.

Tom announced that at this writing 285 Campers will be attending Camp Paquatuck this summer. It will probably accede this number & go to 300 + This is do to the wonderful work Bill Dalton has been doing up at the Camp. Thank you Bill.

We received a Thank you note from Sue Dalton for the flowers we sent to Sue and Family after we heard that her Mom Isabel Berry had passed away,

We received a thank you note from Eastport-Southmannor Interact club for the generous donation our club gave to help them with their club event . They said they appreciate everything our club does for their Interact Club.

I received a note from Tara Murphy (Jim Murphy's daughter) with Thanks to all our members for their generous donation to her fund raiser for her MS Walk. Each of our members present gave $20.00. She sent E-mail thank you's to our members but a couple came back. So she wanted everyone to know how much she appreciated your donations.

We are announcing Dr. Christopher Robert Beuhler, Business Home Audiology Services, P. C. 250 Montauk Hway. East Moriches N.Y.11940 is up for membership in the Moriches Rotary Club. If there are any objections to Christopher becoming a member contact one of Moriches Rotary 's Board members. If there are no objections he will become a member next week at our meeting at JC's Restaurant.

Bowl-a-rama is taking place at Shirley Bowl on May 31 Saturday night 6:30 PM. Get your teams formed and e-mail Bob Walker & let him know how many adults and children you will be bringing. Tickets are $25.00 for Adults and $20.00 for Children. There will be food, bowling and raffles. His E-Mail address is as follows:
