BRING A FRIEND TO ROTARY

The meeting was begun with the pledge, song and a prayer by President Elect Muriel.  President Steve & Tom Chiefo were busy at Center Moriches High School presenting the Rotary Awards to the Graduating Students.  Present at our meeting were the following members, Rob Rubio, Deborah, Ed. Newt, Julie, Barbara, Joe Maag, Dr. Sighn, Werner, Cheryl, Steve, Tom, President Elect Muriel, Treasurer Rich and Secretary Joanne.

IDeborah reminded everyone that the Dues are do on June 15th.

Muriel discussed some of the things she would like to accomplish or do this coming Rotary year.  Including the following.  Our Club will have a picnic on August 3rd. between sessions.  More to follow on this as time goes on.  An Easter Egg hunt on Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend open to the public with a small fee to attend.  We could get the Juice machine from Mac Donald's & maybe a cotton candy machine etc.

June 21st is the Auction up at Camp Paquatuck.  Each member received in the mail a ticket for the dinner and a raffle ticket.  Cocktails begin at 5:30 , Buffet dinner to follow and then the auction.  With its many prizes.  Muriel & Barbara have spent many hours out getting these prizes. Along with some help from others. Wendy Walsh from the Westhampton Club will be the Auctioneer.  It is $75.00 per ticket. Please advise Muriel this Thursday whether or not you can attend this fund Raiser.

Muriel explained the mystery of each persons Club #.  It is found on the cover of the Rotary Magazine.  Look at your label on the cover to the second line and the first 8 numbers is your Rotary number.  Our Rotary District number is 7260  and our own Club # is 5109.

If you are planning to attend the installation of the District Governor and our Rotary Board then bring a check this Thursday night and give it to Muriel.   One check from our treasury will be sent to Riverhead Rotary. The dinner begins at the camp at 6:00 PM.

The 50/50 was won by Muriel and Barbara and Barbara choose the 4 of Spades.  So the game goes on.

We had the Sergeants Report.

The Foundation gift was won by Muriel a small cooler which Rich supplied.  He had attended Patchogue Rotary Cigar dinner and each person was given this nice gift for attending.  This also gave Rich and Jim a makeup for attending another Clubs function in our Clubs name.

We will see you all this week at Ladakin on Thursday night.

That's all there is........................................................Joanne
