MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting was begun at approx. 6:50 PM by President -Elect Steve with the pledge, song and then the prayer by Joanne Walker. The following members were present: Werner, Garry, Kevin, Newt, Dr. Sighn, Bob D., Rich, Roy, Tom, Deborah, Barbara, Julie, Cheryl, Jim, Muriel, Treasurer Ed, Secretary Joanne, President-Elect Steve. We also had exchange student guests Melina Rodrigues-Paniagua from our club and Krystyna Dyshlova.

We had a number of Rotarians make up a meeting, Roy and Rich made up at Southampton. Jim, Tom & Steve did a make up by attending Patchogue Rotary Cigar and steak dinner. Garry makes up on the district level all the time.

Speaking of Garry, He did a very generous gesture by making Bob Dovale a Paul Harris Fellow at our meeting tonight. Bob Dovale is very deserving of this honor. He has gotten extremely involved in the Rotary Exchange program. No one deserves this honor more. Thank you Garry for making this happen. Congratulations Bob.

Next weeks Installation of Officers meeting will be at the Camp at 6 PM or as close to the time as possible as we are all coming from work. We informed Tavern on Main that we would not be there next Thursday. Remember the Theme is the Pondarosa. So dress accordingly if you can or if you choose. Tom filled us in on the details. Food is catered by an Italian restaurant in Hampton Bays. (not sure if the food is Italian for this night or has to do with the theme for the evening) There will be a Chili and Pie and Cake contest. There will be dance lessons etc. We hope we will get the whole club to attend and also their husbands, wives, or significant others. Children are welcome. Adults dinner $20.00, Children's dinner $10.00.

Dues are do. Ten members have paid so far. So we are off to a good start. 17 to go.

The District Governs installation dinner will take place on June 26th at 6:30 PM at the Camp. RSVP to Tammie Rafle at codsan@aol.com So far we have a table of ten. Tom, Steve, Newt & Marie, Jim, Werner, Cheryl, Bob Dovale, Roy (maybe), Joanne. Joanne believes Bob Walker & Mary will be attending. That would make 12. The cost $65.00 per person.

Steve and Ed won the 50/50 and the game goes on........

Rich handled the Sergeants Report. Nice job Rich.

The Foundation Raffle was won by Deborah. Seems all the dollars had Deborah's name on them. We wouldn't call it cheating. But it sure was fun. Barbara thanks so much for the appropriate gift. Deborah I promised not to tell it in the Quill and I didn't. Barbara great job.

This coming Monday night there is a meeting called by Steve Kronman at 7:30 PM at Joanne Walker's House. Refreshments will be served. Steve wants to get some ideas for his term.
