BRING A FRIEND TO ROTARY
The Meeting was begun at
7:40PM by our new President Steve Kronman with the
pledge, song and a prayer by Bob Dovale. Present at
the meeting was 14 members including the following:
Barbara, Deborah, Julie, Werner, Dr. Sighn, Roy, Bill,
Peter, Bob Dovale, Tom, Newt, President Steve,
Secretary Joanne and Late but not least
Treasurer Rich, (he was picking up his son at
college) and our guest for the evening was exchange
student Melina.
Bob Dovale reported to me
that he made up at the Westhampton Rotary Club on June
26th, 2007. Thank you Bob. Hope others will follow
your example. Rich made up at Hampton Bays on
6-19-07. Good going.
President Steve announced
that the 3rd. Thursday of the Month will be Merchant
of the Month.
Barbara suggested that we
give scholarship gifts to the High School Graduates.
It will be discussed at our next Club board meeting.
Our next Club board
meeting will be July 26th after our regular meeting.
President Steve invited anyone in the club who would
like to sit in on this meeting to please do so. They,
of course do not have the right to vote.
The Play Bill has to go to
the printer. We need to know by this Thursday night
who would like to take out an add. Full page is
$200.00, Half page is $150.00 1/4 Page $100.00. Don't
forget to bring ticket money for the Henry Haid show
July 16th to this weeks meeting the price is $50.00
general admission.
The Eastport -South Manor
school needs a new Interact administrator. Tom is no
longer able to do this. Tom thanks for all the time
you spent.
Steven appointed to Public
Relations Deborah, Tom & Barbara. They will need a
budget.
He appointed to
International service Bob Dovale.
Vocational Service -
Cheryl
Club Service is Roy.
Membership Chairpersons is
Julie & Roy
Manorville Interact
position is Bob Dovale
Barbara Interact advisor
from our Club for Center Moriches assisting Janice.
The committee for the the
Exchange students on the District level will be Bob
Dovale.
July 19th our meeting will
be at the Camp having dinner with the Campers. We
have to decide what we are serving??? There is 35
staff and 30 to 45 campers plus us. So approx. 70
plus us. After all those present are paying for
dinner, 50-50, Sergeants report, & Foundation. So it
is not extravagant to ask.
The 50/50 - The Jack of
Clubs was picked, so the game goes on ...............
We had the Sergeants
report and the Foundation raffle.
The Kiwanis Club gave a donation to the Camp which will pay for half the deck at the Trading Post. Rich is a member of this organization and we appreciate his support. Thank you Rich.
See you Thursday at Tavern
on Main. Hope we will have a full House. Remember
your ticket money for the Westhampton Beach Performing
Arts Show.
Remember your Club dues -
They are due. I received the bill today from Rotary
International.
