BRING A FRIEND TO ROTARY  

 

The meeting began at 6:35 PM with the pledge, song and Prayer by President Bob. Present at the meeting are the following 13 members:  Barbara, President Elect Steve, Deborah, Muriel, Newt, Janice, Rich, Tom, Jim, Roy, Cheryl, President Bob, Secretary Joanne.  We also had two guests Bob & Nancy Knotoff from the Westhampton Club.
 
Cheryl represented our Club at the awards ceremony at East Moriches and presented the 3 scholarship awards from our club.  She thought it was a very interesting evening and came back with some ideas. President Bob will give out the awards at Center Moriches High School.
 
The June 21st. installation of offices at the camp will be a country -Western theme.  Western attire is encouraged.  There will be a chili cook off and also a pie and cake bake off.  Just bring the dishes with you that night and they will be judged and then shared. We are hoping to have about 70 or 80 people at the installation that night.  So bring your families. Its $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children.  There will also be line dancers etc.  Tom told us about all the details.  Thank you Tom.
 
The Billy Joel Concert tickets are available now and are going fast.  General admission is $50.00 and the first 5 rows are assigned seats and are $75.00 each and include a wine and cheese party after the concert with Henry Haid and his Band Glass Houses.  Checks should be made out to Moriches Rotary Health Camp.
 
The 50/50 was won by Nancy Knotoff who picked the Queen of Spades. And, the game goes on.
 
Jim Murphy introduced our guests for the evening Nancy and Bob Knotoff from Westhampton Club.
 
The Sergeants Report happened with Rich's assist and his game of Trivia.  Nice job Rich.
 
The Foundation Raffle was won by Joanne  two weeks in a row.  She also had supplied the gift.
 
Deborah was our guest speaker.  She discussed her new book "How to feel great at work every day," it was a very interesting discussion and many people asked questions.  Anyone interested in purchasing her book see Deborah.  Nice job Deborah.
 
Dues are do please bring your checks to the meeting.  Three people paid at last weeks meeting when the letters were given out.
