MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting this week was held at Camp Paquatuck. We supplied and cooked dinner for the campers and staff. Hampton Bays Rotary Club joined us and helped with the serving of the meal. They supplied the deserts etc. Barbara Caldwell from our club had hired an ice cream truck to come up to the camp and the campers and staff really enjoyed the ice cream treats. Thank you Barbara that was very generous and thoughtful of you.

Our members present were Peter, Bob Dovale, Rich, Bill, Steve, Janice, Muriel, Barbara, Deborah, Betsy, Susan, Tom, Julie, Newt, Werner, Dr. Sighn, Cheryl, Bob Walker, Roy, Joanne. Those who were not present still owe the club the $20.00 for dinner (which helped defray the cost of the food expenses). I also saw present, Patty Chieffo, Marie Homan, Bill Graff . Who ever I left out please forgive me and just advise me of your presents.

Guests for the evening were the following including members of Hampton Bays Rotary. They are as follows: Charley Young - guest of Newt Homan, Stanley Dorst friend of Werner Sommer & Susan Bartels, Stan Glinkia, Joe Maggio, Mike Firestone, Helene Burgess, Pat Johnson guest of Helene, Keith Kane prospective member, Doreen D'Andrea, Janet Hanks, Joyce Oakland, Rosemary Schefield.

It was nice to have Janice Graf back after an absence of a couple of weeks.

This Thursday night at Tavern on Main after our regular meeting we will have a club board meeting.

Keith Kane is up for membership in our Club for the 3rd. time. He is a friend of Rich and he also owns a 7-11 Store. Ralph Amitrano owner of GH Provisions, Inc. in Speonk is proposed for membership for the second time.

We still have a few members who have not paid their dues as yet, please bring the dues to the meeting this week please. They were due on July 1st.

One of the members of the Performing Arts theater said he was very impressed with Henry Haid and his band. He belongs also to Westhampton Rotary Club and his name is Greg Menasian. It was a wonderful night at the theater for all those who attended. Really nice job Bob D.

Bob also put on his other hat and took Melina to the airport for her trip back home to Costa Rica. She promises to return. It was very hard on Bob and his family saying good-by to Melina.
