MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting was begun at 6:35 by President Steve with the pledge, song and prayer. The following members were present: Newt, Peter, Werner, Roy, Susan, Barbara, Deborah, Joe, Tom, Jim, President Elect Muriel, Bob Dovale, Ed, President Steve, Secretary Joanne, Treasurer Rich. Guests for the evening where Our Exchange student Melina, and her exchange student friend Valena Rifel from Venezuela. Also present was a prospective member Ralph Amitrano.

Ralph Amitrano owner of GH Provisions, Inc. which is located in Speonk, is proposed for membership for the first time this week. Any objections to his becoming a member please advise the Moriches Rotary Club Board. He was brought to the meeting by Bob Dovale. He has already started helping our Club projects by his generosity in supplying the meatballs for our last Spaghetti dinner.

Bob Dovale brought us up to date on our upcoming Show at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, 78 Main St. Westhampton Beach. The Piano Man Henry Haid and his 9 piece band Glass Houses. Doors open 6:30 show starts at 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets are $50.00 each and are still available.

Bob Dovale has been given the job of overseeing the interact Club from Eastport-South Manor.

Newt took charge of the Sergeants Report. Nice job Newt.

Jim Murphy chose the 3 of Hearts so the game goes on.......................

If you read Sundays Newsday in particular The Money and Careers section pages F4 & F 5 picture and all. Very nice Deborah --- Newsday wow. Congratulations.

This week we will be at Tavern on Main for our meeting.

Next week the 19th of July will be at the Camp at 5:30 PM. We will be providing dinner for the Campers and Staff and all of us, (we are hoping for close to 100% attendance). Barbara is providing the Ice Cream man for the Campers and staff. We are buying the Steaks from GH Provisions. We are going to have Potatoes (Maybe Macaroni & Cheese) that has been discussed. Mac salad and green salad. Peter volunteered a Sheet Cake. Each Rotarian is responsible to pay for dinner whether they attend or not.

Target has painted the ceiling in the T building. Buy at target whenever you have the opportunity as they are very community minded and do a lot for local charities. They are good people.

There are still a number of people who have not paid there dues as yet. So please bring your check to our next meeting. Two people have not received their dues letter and it is in the mail to them.

Cheryl has been making up meetings at different clubs to promote our Concert at Westhampton Performing Arts. She went to Riverhead Club for Lunch and also Westhampton for lunch. Thanks Cheryl for the publicity and also for the Makeup's.
