Other members who
attended the next two nights and who were not
mentioned in this list let me know so I can count
your attendance for our meeting night. Thank
you.
Rich spent a lot of
time policing the parking areas and cleaning the
areas up. Thank you Rich. How did we make out
financially on this event? Rich will let us
know. We had a little problem. Rain, Rain, Rain
off and on.
Newt asked me to
remind all our members to sell tickets as only 3
weeks remain before the Duck Barbecue. So please
get going on the selling. of tickets for Duck
dinner and Big Duck race tickets and small Duck
race tickets. Turn in as soon as possible the Duck
race tickets as you sell them as they have to be
processed and it is a lot of work to much to do
the day of the Duck Barbecue.
There are still a few
people who have not paid there dues. Please lets
see the money. Give your checks to Secretary
Joanne.
The Kwannis is serving
dinner to the Campers this Tuesday Night at 5:30.
Anyone able to attend please make an appearance --
show them we appreciate their efforts. Rich will
be there -- he belongs to the Kwannis Club also.
Thursday night, August
23rd. it will be our turn to feed the Campers
again. So be there as early as possible. We
realize everyone is working. Dinner starts at 5:30
for the Campers and staff. So as early as you can
before that to set up. Thanks to all.
There was an article
in Newsday by Bill Beeyer ----------Austistic kids
sail forward in program. With a couple of
pictures too. Sayville yacht Club volunteered to
take the kids sailing. Some of the kids were
nervous at first but after the ride and also part
way through the ride they relaxed and wanted more.
It is part of the Autism Family Swim and Sail
Program. It was organized by parents of Autistic
Children for more recreation for their kids. The
program director is Marie LeMaire (Bill's wife)
and their son Christopher is enjoying the fun.
Susan Bartels from Moriches Rotary Club is very
heavily involved in this program. Thank you Susan
for all your hard work.
See you all Thursday
night at Camp Paquatuck 5:30 or before to help set
up.
That's all there is...................................................Joanne
