The meeting was begun at 6:40 PM with the Pledge, song,& prayer. Present at the meeting was 14 members and ending the meeting there were 15 members present. As follows: Peter, Bill, Jim Murphy, Garry, Roy, Tom, Bob Dovale, Betsey, Deborah, Barbara, Dr. Sighn, Treasurer Rich, Secretary Joanne, President Steve. Ralph Amitrano became a member during the meeting.

Ralph Amitrano owner of GH Provisions was installed as a member of Moriches Rotary by our Past District Governor Garry Nagle. Congratulations Ralph. See you Thursday.

The next board meeting will take place August 9th after our regular meeting.

Tom asked to have the floor so he could discuss the Carnival which will take place August 16, 17, 18th & 19th. On the 18th there will be Fire works. We passed around a sign-up sheet as follows:

Please try and go to some of these events at the Camp, after all it is our Camp. We expect all members to be at the August 23rd. meeting at the Camp to share dinner with campers and staff.

Please go to Star Bakery when you need Sunday breakfast etc. They support us.

At our meeting at the Camp on August 23rd. we will be serving Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chicken, Mac & cheese, Green salad and Seedless Water melon. Barbara again with a silent Partner will have an Ice Cream truck come with treats. Thank you Barbara. Jim Murphy will donate food for that night. Very generous Jim, thank you from all of us. Peter said he would again bring a sheet Cake, thank you Peter what nice members we have.

Duck Barbecue tickets not sold must be turned in ahead of time-otherwise you bought them. So sell, sell, sell.

New exchange student coming to our club is from Chili and will be attending Eastport-South Manor school. She is arriving August 20th.

Westhampton Rotary Club will be sponsoring a Golf Tournament at Westhampton Beach Country Club on Tuesday, September 18th, 2007. They will be honoring 3 Women in Rotary as this is the 20th year of Women in Rotary. They are as follows: Carolyn Drexel of North Fork Bank, Sandy Anderson and Carol Palmer. Cost of Tournament is $300.00 and also includes cocktails, dinner, prizes, claim bar etc. Tee times will be assigned. Tee signs are $100.00 each or two for $150.00. Hole flags are $300.00 and include a Tee sign on the same hole. The Flag will be given to you after the tournament. The Foundation Raffle prize was donated by Joanne a gift certificate to Tavern on Main to put toward your Thursday dinner. Rich was the winner. Next week he brings the prize.
