New Business:

 

·         Newt would like all members to hand in race tickets because we have to get them logged and ready to race. Large Duck tickets go to Newt, small race tickets go to Muriel.

·         Family Day at the camp was a great success. Muriel said it was a great day.  We got a thank you from Donald, Tyler, Thomas, Eric, T.J., Lindsay and Evan.

·         Garry sent Muriel a note to say hello. Gary get better soon, we miss you.

·         We did the sergeants report, Foundation, and the 50/50. Sergeants-$87. 50/50-$58. (Jim won.)  Foundation-$18. (Roy won)

 

Old Business: 

 

·         Our new exchange student is coming on August 14^th. Her name is Pauline and is from Belgium. She is 18 years old. Starting at WHB high school. Staying with the Rubio’s first, Bob last, and a family to be determined/interviewed in between. Bob will be training Steve who will be taking over the program for the club and the district next year.

·         Reminder: When we do the 50/50, each person paying for dinner will get one ticket as part of their dinner price. The prize will only be awarded when the old maid is selected. New price for dinner which covers the foundation dollar is $23.

·         If you have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.

 

Speaker & Topic:  Kevin Spellman and the logistics for the Duck Barbeque

 

·         Kevin discussed the logistics of the Duck Barbeque. He went over who is doing what. Please be there. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year for our club.

·         The big duck race will be at 3pm this year. Newt would like all members to hand in race tickets because we have to get them logged and ready to race. Large Duck tickets go to Newt, small race tickets go to Muriel.

Muriel would like to have at least one Rotarian from our club visit the camp when the other clubs are there to serve the campers.  We need to thank the other clubs for donating their time and money to feed the kids.

Next Meeting:

 

·         Our next meeting is Thursday, August 14^th at the camp. Please arrive at 4:30pm. We need people there at 3pm to do activities with the kids such go in the pool, row a boat, arts and crafts, or hang out and observe what the kids do. Everyone needs to bring a cake and email Bob on what they are bringing.
