MORICHES ROTARY OF NY

The meeting started at 6:30 PM at our new location Ladikins by President Steve with the pledge, song, and prayer by Ed Wesche. The following members were present: Ed, Bob Walker, Bill, Peter, Roy, Ralph, Werner, Treasurer Rich, Barbara, Newt, Denise, Julie, President Elect Muriel, Joe, Tom, Secretary Joanne, President Steve. We also had some guests as follows:Gwenn Ramague Assistant District Governor and member of Westhampton Rotary Club, Past District Governor and our Guest Speaker George Rehn, and a past member of Moriches Rotary Bill Phraner (it was nice seeing him again -hope he visits often)

Denise has been reinstated as a member of Moriches Rotary. Nice to have you back Denise.

Joint Membership meeting Sept. 26th from 4 PM to 7PM Plainview Holiday INN $25.00 Districts 7250 & 7260 (us)

OCT 1ST. THERE WILL BE A CAMP BOARD MEETING AT 7PM AT THE CAMP. PLEASE ATTEND.

Oct. 18th will be Ed Wesche program. Please plan on being present.

Thursday Oct. 4th Muriel will bring film on UN Day-Rotary

Oct. 6th Zone Institute 1 PM to 2:30 PM Mystic Conn. $35.00. Orient Point Ferry Ride would get you there. Gwenn Ramarge Introduced herself to our club members as the Assistant District Governor.

The District Governor will visit our club next Thursday Night at 6:15 PM. All should attend this meeting please. It would be nice if he could meet all our club members

Newt consented to chair the Duck race again next year. Thank you Newt you do a great job.

We were discussing the interact kids, they like to help out at the different events and The Squaws Spooky Walk is coming up and it would be wonderful if the interact kids could do clean up after each session. It really would be a wonderful help.

The Rotary Leadership Institute 7:30 AM till 3:30 PM at the Islandia Marriott Roy, Steve & Julie would like to attend on Oct. 20th.

Bob Dovale had an Interact meeting and orientation meeting at Camp Paquatuck for the youth exchange. Peter Traina attended.

Our Guest speaker was the Past District Governor, George Rehn. He has been a Rotary member since 1981. He discussed a number of the programs coming up in Rotary and encourage us to attend and get involved.

Tom attended the Fuco Golf Tournament Sept. 20th at Bellport Country Club approx. 95 Golfers participated.

Don't forget we meet at Ladikins now. District Governor will be there this Thursday night. President Steve expects all members to attend.
