Remember the district Assembly on Saturday, October 28th 2006 At 9:00 AM $25.00 is the fee to bring with you. The location is Camp Paquatuck (very easy for us to get there, so how about making a good showing for our club, and on top of it learn some important things about Rotary.

I received some important information from PDG Don Hester.  We are being asked by the district Nominating Chairperson PDG Don Hester.  To select a candidate qualified to be District Governor from our club, he has to be a past club President, a member in good standing for 7 years.  If there is a qualified person in our club who would like to be Governor they should approach the club and ask them to nominate and support them and process their nomination. The nominations should be signed and dated by the Club President, all club Presidents have been sent Governor Application forms.  The nomination shall be submitted in the form of a resolution adopted at a regular Rotary Club meeting. All nominations should be signed and dated by the Club President.  All club Presidents have been sent Governor Application Forms.  President Bob will discuss.

We had the 50/50 and was won by Joanne & Bob Walker by picking the Jack of Clubs.

The Spooky Walk - we need at least 8 people working each night to help the Squaws with this large undertaking. Saturday the 14th of Oct. meet at the camp to set up tents at 9 AM. Paul said Otis Ford has tent. Ed Wesche should chair this undertaking.  We will need flash lights and flares for parking cars etc.

Tuesday, Sept. 26th Tom, Newt, Betsy and Joe McCaffey meet to settle the open Space agreement with the Town of Brookhaven, Dept. of finance. We received a check for the development rights. We are very grateful for this money as the camp needs it. The money will be used for the repair and maintenance of the buildings and to expand the camp.   It is going to take 2 years to legalize all the building at the Camp.

The Miniature golf game is coming up quickly.  It takes place Oct. 15th.  If you are or have taken a T sign please give the money to Barbara at the next meeting. Barbara also has tickets so ask her for some.  She wants to get a good crowd so spread the word. The time is 1 to 4 PM on Portion Rd. Ronkonkoma.

The Xmas Party will take place on December 21st at the camp. Muriel is looking into getting prices from Anton's for catering it.

The bowling game will take place March 24th. at Shirley bowl.
