Topics of Discussion:

  • We scheduled our holiday party at the camp, a combined party with the kids is Saturday, December 5th at 4pm.

  • The Duck’s game was a lot of fun.

  • We thanked Rich & Maryann for the wonderful job they did at the family picnice on Sunday at the camp.

  • Our exchange student from Brazil, Caio, is here. We will meet him next week.

  • Next week’s meeting is at the camp. 5:30pm is our start time. The pit is set up and it looks good. We did get a beer and wine license. No hard liquor on the premises at all.  No one on the golf carts but us. We need signs to help direct people. Good news: Westhampton purchased all the yellow ducks. ALL ARE EXPECTED TO SHOW UP AT 6AM ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH TO WRAP DUCKS AND HELP GET READY FOR THE DAY.

  • It is crunch time for the Octoberfest too. Bob and Peter have spoken to RCN about doing radio ads for us 2 weeks prior to Oktoberfest. Bob and Peter have had many vendors call.

  • Muriel applied for a simplified grant for the holiday baskets.

  • Muriel showed the pictures she blew up for the Steve Fucco outing. Steve felt that what was missing was why they were there. There will be a picture for each hole. The pictures came out amazing.

  • Julie is in our heart and prayers. Good well wishes to Dave and to you too Julie. Her blog is at http://www.daveandjuliepratt.blogspot.com

  • We are sending get well wishes to Gary too.

New Business

  • Sergeants-$80. 50/50-0. Foundation $22.

Old Business:

  • If you did not sign up yet for the Fucco Golf Tournament. please let Bob know ASAP. Muriel needs donations for the silent auction.

  • Steve needs golfers and sponsors. If we can get one to two foursomes from our club, Steve would be happy. Hole sponsors are $150.  $375 a person to play which includes golf, dinner, and raffle tickets.

  • Rotary Leadership Institute is coming up on Saturday, October 3rd. Bob will email the club information about the day. If you have not gone, it is worthwhile. It’s $95 a person. The club will pay for half.

  • Bob would like us to contribute $100 for the year for Rotary Foundation. It is not mandatory and it would be a nice showing from the club.

  • Tom has been writing an article that will be going into the south shore press every couple of weeks. If you have news that you want in, please send it to Tom.

  • If you have made up a meeting or attended another Rotary event, please let Deborah know so she can mark you as attending a meeting.
